I am new here and trying to figure this out. I lost my mom almost 2byears ago and have put 49 lbs on. Weight that i had lost a couple years before. For health reasons I need to get this back off.

Hi @Darlagiffen welcome to MFP.
Sorry about your mom. Grief can hit you hard.
One of the reasons I decided I had to lose weight was watching my mom’s prolonged decline due to diabetes and kidney disease.
Maybe dedicate your loss to your mom, and make her proud, because surely she’s watching over you and wants you to live a healthy and fulfilled life.

Hi, I turned 60 to this year. I’m sorry for your loss - I know how it feels to lose a parent, I’ve lost both of mine and it is a very sad time. Like the other comment mentioned do it for yourself and for your mom 😊 You are where you are - take steps to make yourself healthier now and I bet you would make mom smile 😊1
