Hi
I'm using Samsung 5 watch and my steps are not registering on mfp even though both are synced. Is there something else I need to do.
Also are steps counted as exercise for extra calories or just defined exercise sessions.
Thank you

It may depend on your activity level, as set in the Goals section. There is an assumption that you will move around a certain amount. You go to the grocery, clean the house, etc. all involving some steps. I'm not sure about the specific numbers, but something like 2000 steps for sedentary, 5000 for lightly active, 10000 for Active etc. So if the number of steps you do is within the number for the category you chose, you won't get any additional calories. If you walk or run for exercise, you need to be careful not to double-count that exercise. So either use the watch to list your activity or manually enter the activity, but not both.0
