Mini Goals: Hit Goal 1

If I thought about the total amount of weight I needed to lose, I'd get very unmotivated. I, instead, set mini-goals.
I started at 263 pounds. I just hit my first goal.
I'm finally under 240 pounds. My next goal is to get under 230 pounds.
Then 220--and so on until I get to 180. When I get there, I'll reevaluate.
If you are struggling with a large amount of weight to drop, try setting small goals. Small goals give you small victories. It makes a hard task easier.
It really does help me stay motivated as I feel like I'm making progress.

Having small goals is great. That is a good way to tackle most larger “projects”. You are doing wonderful- keep it up!0

I don't think half a bag of mulch is right. Mulch is not very dense. I doubt half a bag of mulch would weigh five pounds, much less 23 (the weight lost by OP). Unless mulch means something different outside the U.S., or we're talking about some wholesale size bag used by landscapers that fills the bed of a pickup.0

1 bag of 2 cu ft= 34 lbs so it’s pretty close if it’s about half the bag. I think my last project took at least 100 of these bags 😅.
“ For example, a 2 cubic foot bag of Vigoro Premium Wood Mulch has a bag weight of 34 lbs. Compare that to a 2 cubic foot bag of Year Long Black Mulch with a bag weight of 42 lbs. and a 2 cubic foot bag of hardwood mulch by Gardener’s Pride with a bag weight of 35 lbs.”
I have no idea what kind of mulch weighs less than 5lbs or what it would accomplish tbh.1
