VA here. First generation this far north on my mom's side (she is from OK) and second generation this far north on my dad's side (his mom is from AR and his dad is from OK, the Navy brought them this far north). I'm going down to AR for the family reunion next week and I can't wait to be in the south again!

28 year old in Arkansas ....looking to find friends for motivation. I lost over 15 lbs over two years ago by adding friends and logging everyday. I fell off the bandwagon after moving to a new city and beginning a new job as an instructional leader in a large school district. I deleted my friends and didn't log in for over a year. I am back and ready to do the work. This time, I will not let myself slip. I also started a blog. I have about 15 lbs to lose.

Feel free to add me and follow my journey on my blog http://bballinblog.wordpress.com/

I would have never called Arkansas part of the south. I'm from central Georgia. We are the south.

I'm a transplant from "the other Washington," but I've been a Carolina girl for nearly 10 years. Is that good enough? Born in the DC/Arlington, VA area, too. That's below the Mason-Dixon Line! Kinda lived all over. Now in Hillsborough, near Chapel Hill and Durham. Here's to Duke!

Have you ever been to Arkansas? Why would it NOT be part of the South?
