Daily (Calorie) Goal - intake

Hello - first, thank you for taking the time to read my question. If this is a duplicate I do apologize, I searched the previous posts but did not find my answer.
You're given your daily calorie intake goal, and then as you add exercises your goal increases. I have sporadically used MFP for years and never understood how to properly use this. I'm also very active, for example, I did 14+ miles cycling and walked at 2.5 mph for 2 hours already today. Later I will do HIIT and cycle more. So you can imagine my daily goal shoots through the caloric roof. As my main goal is to lose weight, am I supposed to chase this goal or should I maintain the original goal number?
