Hello. My name is Dawn. I’m 53
And weigh 198 pounds. I’m 5 ft 3 in tall. I’ve had a recent weight gain after getting married a few years ago. My new husband eats poorly and doesn’t exercise. I’ve always had to watch my diet and exercise regular because I had a morbidly obese mother and I feared living like that. I evened to have followed more closely to my new husbands habits to spend more time with him. I’ve also had some bursitis and degenerative disc issues. So exercise has become difficult, especially with an extra 50 pounds on. I hope to be able to get back to my old habits of eating better and moving more. I do not feel he is able to be supportive enough to me as he fights his own bad habits. So I’m here trying again to lose about 50 pounds in hopes my physical and mental health will improve.

@trevisanut Hi Dawn! Welcome to the community!
This past summer, I hit my highest weight of 200 pounds (I am also 5 ft 3 inches) and knew I had to do something different. I have been an MFP member for several years but basically just lurked the message boards. This time I made myself engage. There are lots of groups to choose from - I am part of Fat2Fit (Team Downsizers) and that accountability/support has had a huge role to play in 34 pounds lost so far. (As it is nearly the beginning of the month, I know they are adding people to the teams, so you would be welcome if it would seem like a good fit.) Regardless, I hope you find your people here!
Congratulations on taking this step forward.0
