62 Yr Old Female Needing to Lose Weight and Get Healthy

I am a 62 year old female that has gained weight over the last few years and find it very difficult losing. I teach part-time online, so I’m at the computer most of the day. Normally, I try to walk 7-8000 steps per day and watch what I eat. But I keep gaining. I recently had neck surgery, so I’ve been sidelined for about 3 months. I’m not released yet, so walking is all I can do. I’m hoping that tracking my food and having a goal in exercise will help.
