Calorie Counting and Exercise

Hello everyone! I’m not new to MyFitnessPal but am new to the discussion forums.
I wanted to share a success story of mine.
About one year ago now I started a program to help retrain my brain to a healthy lifestyle.
When I was you and throughout my 20’s I was active, healthy, and in shape. Well, life happens and at 48 I was about 216 lbs with an unhealthy lifestyle.
This program slowly got me back on track by watching what I eat, counting calories, and gradually incorporating exercise.
1 year later I have lost about 25 lbs and exercise several times a week. Mostly walking and stretching have been my exercise. I have incorporated some strength training but could be better.
I dropped a couple of pant sizes and a t-shirt size. I’m much happier with the way I look at feel. I still have about 5 lbs to go to reach my goal weight.
Thanks to MyFitnessPal and the support of my family and friends I feel I have gotten back on track.

congratulation making your goal getting to the final, and sticking with it for the rest of your life, I too need to change my food habits and lifestyle, must stick with my exercise even though my body is getting older and arthritis is slowing me down but I refuse to give up so still have a long way to go and must keep active every day!
