I had surgery on my shoulder a few weeks ago, and my doctor gave me instructions on wearing a sling (for 1 month), ice etc. but didn’t say anything about diet. Do yall think i should stop caloric restriction while recovering? How long?

Yes you need to heal and that takes enough nutrients. Caloric restriction is not a good idea. Your body is trying to repair itself and it needs the raw materials to do so0

Somewhere I heard eat about 110% tdee for a while, not sure how long. Not very scientific, sorry.0

I would suggest 110% or so of TDEE at your goal weight. If you have a lot to lose your body can use stored fat for the fuel needed to recover. And of course a sling doesn't prevent you from walking or other exercise not involving that arm unless a medical professional says otherwise.
Good luck.0
