Trying again

Am 67 shortly and over last 3 years gained weight due to physical limitations
Small steps each day and trying to do more walking

    Hello, and welcome to the Community. That sounds like a good plan!

    Gradual progress is good progress, especially if there are physical limitations in the picture. It's surprising how much a person can accomplish, just working at it patiently, manageably and consistently over time. At least that was true for me, working on fitness improvement after an extreme sedentary life and full-bore cancer treatment, and later when losing from class 1 obese to a healthy weight at 59-60. (I'm now 68, still active, still maintaining a healthy weight.)

    Wishing you much success - the results in quality of life are very worth it!

    I'm 66 and had a heck of a time due to leg injuries. They're not perfectly healed, but I work around the issues. I found walking super helpful to get started. It can add some strength and flexibility to your legs while helping build your fitness.
