A good place to start to figure out what you need is the MFP Goal Setup.
Be honest. You probably aren't really sedentary. Go slow. Don't make it a goal to lose two pounds a week unless you have well over 100 pounds to lose. Be kind to yourself. If things don't go right one day, let it go and just get back after it. Log honestly and completely, and most important, STICK TO IT!0
