Calculating Carbohydrates (g) in my fitness pal does it included the Sugar grams not not?

I am trying to working out if the Nutritional Summary that is given in MyFitnessPal is giving me total carbohydrates as it report Sugar as a seperate measurement. So if I am tracking my Carbohydrates only I should include the seperate sugar total as well?

Sugar is counted under carbohydrates, as it is a carb. It also tells you how much sugar you've consumed, but that is already included under carbs

Rather than give you the answer, I'll give you a clue how to find out and then you can sleuth this kind of thing out on your own.

Go check the database or log some sugar in your diary. Good ol' table sugar. If you log it, you can delete it afterwards. Look at the nutritional profile of, oh, I dunno, a teaspoon of sugar. What does it say?

    See? That was easy!

A carbohydrate is a chemical made of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen. The formula for glucose is:

    So it's a carbohydrate.
