Hi everyone! I'm 31 years old, and my goal is to lose 74 pounds.

My eating habits are terrible, so I plan to first try and get that under control. I LOVE pasta. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I've also had a bit of a drinking habit... BOURBON IS DELICIOUS! And full of calories. Ha! So I've quit drinking as of Monday, and I'm trying to incorporate healthier eating habits.

In the next two weeks I'm going to purchase this hybrid elliptical / recumbent bike from ProForm (http://www.proform.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_-1_14201_16002_29510_213119) . I love ellipticals! I also have a couple sets of exercise bands, an XBOX Kinect with a couple of fitness games, a jump rope, and... well... let's face it I've been trying to lose weight for quite a bit of time - without fully committing. So I should have any and all equipment I'd need... I just have to keep up the motivation.

I thought if I started to participate on the forums and such I might have better luck. If anyone wants to add me, feel free to send a request!!

    Hello from a fellow Knoxvillian! Congratulations on your decision to make a commitment to your health!

    You seem like you're off to a great start already. Diet/ eating habits and motivation to keep going are definitely the most important parts.

    I'm sending a friend request, but be warned- mostly I just use this website to log food and lurk around in the forums. Good to meet someone else from K-Town (and a fellow bourbon lover)!
