The very out-spoken old lady who works at my office NEVER has anything nice to say to ANYONE and she certainly doesn't give out compliments, but I just got back from a short walk and she said "You look like you've lost weight"

It may not be a big thing, but even small things can be nice. It is especially nice when we receive unexpected compliments from unexpected sources.
