Hi everyone, I have tried my fitness pal before and became burnt out on it. I do notice when I use it I lose weight while tracking. I want to get back into it this year and stay strong with tracking calories. Do you all recommend the basic plan or upgrade to the premium?

You can find proponents of both options. But I've been using MFP for about 15 years now, always using the free plan, and have made great progress, first in losing fat, and now in gaining muscle. But I'm rather strong willed, just needed the information and tracking available in MFP Free. Some people like the additional tracking and coaching available on premium, and more power to them if it helps. I just didn't need it for myself.1 -

As far as premium/paid service goes, I'd suggest you do the free trial and see for yourself if it's worthwhile. It might be a good idea to use the free service for a month or two first so you have something to compare.
As far as burning out, don't go too fast. Set reasonable goals, and then stick to it. It works, but you have to work too.1
