Getting old sucks!

I have this nagging wrist injury that comes and goes. Now that I am increasing the weights while lifting its bothering me again. Once again, I have to stop lifting... grrrr! I was on a roll! :(

I have a specialist/surgeon appt but not until mid-March. Our Heathcare system in Canada sucks. They delay the heck out of everything and hope you heal on your own or pass away while you are waiting! :(

Tough to hear, my friend. Perhaps you can try joint-friendly versions of lifts, like doing DB presses instead of BB bench presses, or using the EZ bar for curls and triceps extensions, that sort of thing. These swaps are normally suggested for shoulder issues, but the different angle may help wrist issues as well. Plus, increasing weight is only one possible way to increase intensity and progress while lifting. This thread contains a variety of options for ways to increase intensity without actually increasing the weight of the weights used...perhaps one or more of these options will allow you to continue to lift while using the lighter weights which don't overly stress your wrist.
