Back again, and emotional eating

So, MFP helped me lose c 2 stone and got in much better shape. Somewhere along the line, it slipped away and I've put some/most of it back on, I've naturally got high BP and an getting on 46, I need to put my health first.
So here I am again, Premium'd for the year and made good choices while travelling yesterday and today.
My main issue, is that I can make good choices during the day, prep breakfast and lunch, but by the time I'm commuting home, I am mentally exhausted and find excuses not to go to the gym and eat poor carbs emotionally. I do it later in the night too if I cant sleep, cereal and pile of toast.
Does anyone have any strategies, resources or tips to better tackle emotional eating when I'm at my 'weakest'?

Welcome back!
Late night snacking is a common pitfall. One thing that works for SOME people is to say, "I can wait five minutes before I eat xxx." Then wait five minutes and see how you feel. Then make it 15 minutes.
Emotional eating is tough. If you can possibly look into the future to see the you that awaits if you stick to your program, that might help you make the decision you want to make right now. All we actually ever have is "right now." Any decision we make is for "right now." So if you can avoid eating that toast "right now," then you're on the road to success! Every good decision builds habits, and it's habits that will reward you.0 -
Thats a good idea thanks, just driven to the airport and worked for 90 mins before checking in, was hungry and liable to make bad choices.
Actually chose a chicken cesar wrap based on the additional protein vs a veggie wrap and a pot of nuts.
Was a hard decision vs BK, picked up a water too which will hopefully keep me till I get back to the car.
