I’ve seen people create barcodes for recipes they create here. Any idea how to do this?

    I'd encourage you not to do that.

    If you make them up, eventually they may overlap with some manufacturers codes. When people try to use the barcode scanner, your foods will come up instead of that manufacturer's foods. That's unhelpful to your fellow MFP database users.

    To avoid that, you'd need to buy your own "manufacturer prefix" for your barcodes.
