Items re-appearing after I've deleted them

Often when I delete something from my diary, it re-appears a few seconds later. Or if I edit an item, the prior listing will appear in addition to my edited version. It's very frustrating to have to constantly scan through to make sure my diary is accurate. Anyone else have this issue? It's been going on for me for years.
I'm on an Android S21.

    I don't have an answer for WHY this happens, but yes, I've been dealing with the same issue for at least the last six months or so. Mildly irritating, sure, but not enough for me to get upset over.
