I had a medical emergency that caused me to nee cpr and I have bruised ribs

Could the selling have caused weight gin? I’m on a deficit still and they gave me a lot of fluids at the er but even without excersize on my deficit I lose but I’ve gone up like 4/5 lbs in two days

Well, the answer is in your question: they gave you a lot of fluids! And yes, bruising can also cause you to retain water.
While you heal, I would highly encourage you to not eat at a deficit: a body that needs to heal itself needs more calories and a calorie deficit will slow healing.
The water weight will come off, don't worry about that.7 -
It is water weight. Not a surprise after a big medical issue and getting lots of IV fluids. It will go away as your body heals.1
