Can I do this?

Okay so ive been a member here for around 1 year and a half now. After i had my daughter i decided i needed to lose weight. I lost all of my baby weight plus almost 20 pounds with MFP. I gained about 10 of it back. Stress, holidays, and a peruvian husband (rice, potatos, oh my!) made that all happen. so i just started a week or so ago. i immediately put my calories at 1200. I am traveling to visit my family in december (christmas/new years) i want to lose around 20 pounds by then. I am 151ish right now and i want to get down to minimum 135 (would love 130). I am 5'6. is this goal possible? and are my calories okay?

    I think it's possible to lose 20lbs by December. You can probably eat more than 1200 calories a day, though. I'm the same height as you, 119lbs, work out for about 30 minutes a day (average) 4-6 days a week and eat close to 2000. I still lose weight, but slowly. Maybe try 1500-1600 to start? Not restricting yourself so much makes the weight loss much more sustainable.
