Hello

Hello, my name is Becca and I had joined in 2010 but never kept up with it. I’m now back working on getting healthier. I am Type 2 diabetic currently and also have PCOS. My husband and I have tried for several years to have a baby so I’m taking the step to get healthier to make that possible.

    Welcome back!

What will you do this time to make sure you stick to it?

    What are your goals?

I’ve been working with my doctor and am now one medication for my blood sugars (they feel like I can reverse it and get off the medication at some point. I am currently:
1)Tracking all my food and working to do low carb/high protein.
    2)Getting at least 10,000 steps a day
    3) Working on managing stress with meditation/yoga

    My goals are:
1)Become healthy enough to get pregnant
2)Become more mindful so I don’t eat because of my emotions
    3)Feel better

You are already ahead of most people because you have realistic and measurable goals. At least some are measurable. Some may be measurable by you only without a real metric, but they are still good goals.

Fitness would seem to be a good priority unless you have a lot of weight to lose in which case, that is a good first step.

Set some good strategies up and then be honest to yourself and follow them. If you slip up, don't feel bad, but do get right back to it immediately. And come let us know how you're doing. You can make it work if you want, and you should want it!
