What to do if you eat bad one day after being great the whole week?

I ate horrible yesterday after working 12 hr noc shift. I tried to exercise and get moving to help reset my body. Flushing with water and apple cider vinegar. I was far over my calorie intake that I was embarrassed to log my food choices. What do you do when you have fallen off your routine of good healthy eating?
How do you bounce back?

I don't believe in 'punishing' myself for going over goal. Life happens. The key is:
    - to try and learn from the experience: why did you overeat? Lack of planning? No good easy food choices available?
    - to keep an eye on your weekly target (you don't need to be perfect every day)
    - to keep in mind that going over goal is not the same as going over maintenance - a rate of 2lbs per week gives a margin of 1000 kcal per day, 1lb per week is a margin of 500 kcal per day, etc.

Water and apple cider vinegar don't do anything for weight loss, those are just diet myths.
And doing exercise to 'expiate' bad food choices is a first step on a slippery slope to an unhealthy relationship for food (unless you were already planning to exercise anyway) - I would personally be careful with that and not make it a habit.
