Yet Another HRM Question!

Hello All!
I know many folks have asked questions in regards to their HRM's, now it's my turn!
I've had my HRM for some time now; however, have recently started to use it on a regular basis. I've noticed the calorie burn on my HRM is higher than the calorie burn on the machine. I'm thinking the HRM would be more accurate since it's going off my heart rate, but would welcome others comments and experiences.
Also, how often are you taking your heart rate during your workout? Do you take it during cardio and weight lifting?
Looking forward to hearing from you!

So I take it this is an HRM that doesn't do constant monitoring. It's one of the ones that you have to stop and check with it? They aren't as accurate as the ones with the chest strap, so I couldn't tell you if it's more accurate than a machine, that probably depends a lot on the machine too.
The best thing to do would be to get an HRM with a strap, or a body bugg or something similar (one that does real time constant monitoring). I realize that these ones are more expensive but none-the-less that's the reality of the situation. The ones that you have to manually take your HR with just estimate based on constant HR, they don't actually record your real HR as do ones with a chest strap.0
