Fitbit + MFP

Hello! I just bought a Fitbit and signed up for MFP yesterday, and I have a question about the two.

My understanding is that it's important that the start time of an exercise is logged in MFP, so it can properly calculate calories burned. However, where I have confusion is if I should also be starting the exercise on the Fitbit device itself as well?

So for example, before I jump on the exercise bike, should I start a "Cycling" session on the device, and log the start time in MFP? Will that cause double logging?

Or should I just simply enter the start time in MFP and proceed with the workout?

Thanks!

If your Fitbit is fully synced with MFP, I don't think you shouldn't enter anything manually in MFP., just use your Fitbit and let it calculate your calorie burn.

The particularity of Fitbit is that you won't see the exercise separately in your diary, but it will be taken into account in your daily calorie adjustment.
