New to MFP, Introducing myself.

Just joined MFP as a way to keep track of my calories and what I eat. I used to be in pretty good shape, practiced a variety of martial arts and over the last few years have definitely let myself go, I could blame it on traumatic experiences and stress and I wouldn't be lying, i've never been one for excuses, it's my own damn fault!. My Wife introduced me to this site and I hope it helps to keep me in check and keep track of what i'm doing to myself. My main reasons for joining and getting back into things is to hopefully live a happier, healthier longer life so I can see my kids grow up, spend as much time with my wife as possible and to be a good example for my kids.
