    Regardless of age the rules are the same, take in fewer calories than you burn over time. Throw in some weight training and a bit of extra protein, as you age, protein becomes more important to help ward off sarcopenia and assist with lowered Muscle Protein Synthesis.

    Unfortunately as we age, most end up being less active so calorie needs also go down
