I have not looked at the study, just the media reports on it, but like most studies like this it looks like one that likely has a host of confounding factors that basically render its results suspect. I am less and less convinced by any epidemiological study in the area of eating because without knowing what people are eating outside of their fasting window, how much they adhere to fasting, and more the result become more of a support of the dominant view of three or five meals a day than necessarily a study of intermittent fasting. I may take the time to find the study and read it if it is free to read. If not, I will chalk it up as another study that the media likely pushes the conclusion beyond what the authors intended.0
