Syncing with Fitbit - data override by iPhone Health app

Hello. I’ve successfully synced MFP with Fitbit but MFP is pulling my steps walked from my iPhone rather than Fitbit. Fitbit is recording all of my steps (my iPhone does not as I’m not always carrying it).
I sync my Fitbit with my phone several times a day but that doesn’t update MFP’s data for my steps.
I’ve disconnected and reconnected Fitbit to MFP; that didn’t solve the problem and I’ve attempted to disengage the iPhone “Health” data but there isn’t a way to do it or I’m not finding it if there is a way.
Any help from the community on how to fix this issue would be appreciated. Thank you!
