I'm Crystal! I am aiming for 1200 calories/day, less than 90 carbs and low sugar. Recently added more protein to my diet and walking on most days.

RND 2553/27 173.1 Good start to the round 🙂. Stayed on track with my goals and ate mostly healthy. One thing that I noticed I need to work on is I'm taking in (mainly drinking) too many artificial sugars. Need to cut back on those. Other than that for the most part I am proud of myself for the healthy habits I have stuck with.4/4 174.8 Movies yesterday and popcorn. Fun times though. Still met my goals!
3/28 173.9 Little gain today and I can tell in my stomach area, just in the way I feel. I was super hungry yesterday for dinner which doesn't happen that often anymore, but I definitely ate too much salt and had a brownie and a half 😅. No complaints though, as it was expected and I was over on calories. Also, not much sleep last night. Making sure to drink extra water today.

4/1 DNW I wish it wasn't so much harder to stick to the plan when traveling. Especially when visiting family. I did not want to weigh this morning because I didn't follow through with any of my goals over the weekend (and there was alcohol involved). I knew I was going to be discouraged if I weighed. Back on track today. Will try and catch up on all of your posts I missed ❤️.
** Edited to add my weight due to another challenge I started- 178.1 (after a glass of water and coffee)
4/2 176.1 Stayed on track yesterday with my goals. The extra water I drank decided to come out overnight last night as I made many trips to the bathroom to pee. Lol. Hoping I can lose these last few pounds by the end of the round that I gained from the weekend.
4/3 174.8 Glad the extra weight from the weekend is coming off. Good day yesterday except I was offered a couple of alcoholic beverages at a friend's house. Feeling really thirsty this morning.
4/5 174.8 Not feeling so well this morning and I can tell my body is holding on to some fluid. Drinking lots of water today. Met my goals yesterday but I felt terrible after I ate dinner. Could be a mixture of the seasonings (extra sodium) along with potatoes. Anyways, goal for next round is to stay on track with my goals every day. Looking back at this round, there were 4 days that I did not meet my goals. (.9 lb gain this round)10 -
Back again. This is my 2nd challenge here. 1st one I managed to break even so hopefully I'll do better this time. I leave for vacation in 2 weeks and I'd really like to be under 200. Haven't done that since 2009. 5'5" - 66 yr old Granny. Highest weight 256.
Round 255
3/27 201.1 Let's do this!!!

3/30 198.7

4/2 200.8 Okay. Easter feasting needs to be over!!!
4/3 201.0 Up, up, up...just threw away the rest of the jelly beans and I'm heading to the pool this morning. I've been so lazy! I'm going to blame it on the blizzard we just got. I am so sick of winter!!!!!
4/4 200.9 Not much, but moving in the right direction. So hard to get motivated some days.
4/5 202 So much for good intentions. Ugh!9 -
R255 -25th
TBH- I give myself an “F” for this round. Food & 💦 was fine but didn’t reach my 🏋️♀️ or 📿 goals. Not even close. Or HB. I fell off the rails. Sure, I can blame vacation, but I brought my book, jump rope and resistance bands. They just sat in a bag. I will definitely focus next round.
Onward to R256. I am especially thankful for this group. Thank you all!🙏🤩
Give yourself some credit though, look how long you went without having cheat days! You still ate well on vacation and that is usually what gets most of us. And who wants to workout on vacation anyways? You're such a great inspiration!
I'm also thankful for you and this group as well ❤️❤️❤️

3/27-DNW-Hoping to get my whole list done today. If I work on it all day, I can walk after dinner.
4/1-177-Easter came and went. Our adult sons came to stay a few nights and it was wonderful to have them here. I let too many things get in the way of my walking; today I’ll get back at it.
4/2-177-At least it’s not higher. Such a beautiful day so I went out and planted plants that had been kindly waiting and dug Dahlia bulbs out of pots to put in the ground. Kept moving the whole time.
4/3-176-Two dr. appointments yesterday and still had time to ride the horse and work in the yard. Easter came early this year….my yard is finally looking nice. Walked after dinner 3.5 miles. It’s a start.
4/4-176-Glad to stay, was hoping for a drop but had salty ham for dinner. DH wants to drive up to the snow today…..probably lunch out, if so, I am hoping for control. With a storm moving in, there won’t be much walking. Yoga this morning.
4/5-175-Went to yoga in the a.m. and then drove up to the snow for the afternoon. It was storming and we finally found a restaurant open. The steak salad was a good choice to go with the long ride. Just cooked asparagus for dinner. Off to a quilting class today-Featherweight.10 -

Round 255 Posts
This is my posting format….
Month/Day: Scale Reading - First thing today after bathroom visit before getting dressed.
/ Logged Food - yesterday; Exercise – yesterday; water - yesterday / Comment

/logged mostly; floor exercises; 66 oz water/
DW Birthday today. I know my assignment. 😊 We will be married 45 years in August, but I have been celebrating her birthday for about 50, when we were both kids. Some form of Birthday lunch out, after group exercise. Her choice.
3/28: 224.6
3/29: 225.8
3/30: 225.2
/not logging well; some minimal exercise; dehydrated/
…and the scale shows it.
Sorry for not checking in, I have been preoccupied. DW birthday, Helped in kitchen for Upper Room service at church, entertained guests at home last night, meetings, blah blah blah. All excuses. 😊
Just caught up with your posts.
3/31: 225.6
/logged; exercised (mowed grass and yard work); 90 oz water/
All in all yesterday I did well except for one detail. DiGiornos rising crust frozen pizza for supper. We were both tired and wanted something easy as we watched UConn TROUNCE Illinois. (I was rooting for Illinois) Kiddos over today for Easter Dinner after church. Four generations involved. Double smoked spiral sliced ham on the menu. It involves application of maple syrup followed by spiced rub between each slice before going on the smoker. Meat candy essentially. Don’t expect to see a drop tomorrow.
4/1: 225.8
/nope; nope; 66 oz water/
Considering the feast I had yesterday, this is not bad. Hoping to cleanse my habits this week.
Have I ever mentioned my real name is Elon Musk?
4/2: 224.6
/logged; group exercise; 78 oz water/
I managed to keep unhealthy habits to a dull roar yesterday.
April Fool yesterday, I am not really Elon Musk.
4/3: 223.6
/logged; exercised; 66 oz water/
I like this two-day trend. I even accomplished this with a bit of salty and sweet cheating. Just think of the possibilities without cheating!
Starting to think about the possibilities if I would take this more seriously. Especially the exercise part…. But, my problem is my personality type. For example, in my mind, if I have designed it… it’s done. In fact, I am a tested and confirmed 5 on the Enneagram scale. DW will attest. It is good that she knows. Read all about me here…. Ha! https://www.enneagraminstitute.com/type-5/
I wish I were just the good parts of this description. 😊 The bottom line is, it’s good to know about yourself, so I recommend finding your number.
DW is a “1” by the way.
4/4: 222.2
/logged; exercised; 86 oz water/
This round is beyond repair, but these last two days are enough Duct Tape and WD-40 to get me to the next round.
3/26: 226.6
Starting weight on day before this round.
4/5: 222.4
/logged; exercised; 66 oz water/
The good news is that I was able to somewhat recover from the miserable end of last round and beginning of this round. And even though my ten-day average is up, my ten-day net is down. (celebrate the small victories)
Tonight is a (monthly) former work place reunion get together thingy. We are eating and the German American Society “clubhouse” this month. They serve German food buffet style. It is usually very light. 😉 I may try to skip any carbs for lunch.

Happy new round! It’s a cold, wet, windy morning here, so I’m hoping to finish a cardigan I’m knitting. That’s exercise, right? 🤪 I’ve been knitting up a storm the past few months—can’t snack when knitting. Here’s a wrap I finished last week.
3/28 - 195
I seem to be stuck. But I’m listening to my body better and snacking a lot less, so all good. I finished my cardigan yesterday—here it is (I haven’t washed it yet). I’ll stop now with the knitting. 😊
3/29 - 195
It’s cold this morning but nice and sunny and it’s supposed to warm up. I’m hoping to get outside for a little start on garden cleanup and a nice walk this afternoon. Enjoy your day!
3/30 - 195
Stuckity stuck stuck! 😊 It’s a rain rain rainy day, so I’m going to my friend’s house to knit for a couple hours and have lunch—a good use for a rainy chilly day. Happy Saturday, all!
3/31 - 195
Charlie chased the Easter bunny out of the yard last night, so I don’t think we’ll be having any chocolate. 🤣 We’re actually eating pretty healthy since it’s just me and DH—he’s making a turkey breast, asparagus, and oven roasted potatoes for late lunch/early dinner, and I made French toast (I use thin-sliced Dave’s Good Seed, which makes delicious French toast, and use a little raspberry spread, no sweeteners—yummy). I’m hoping to get a walk in, but right now it’s cold and rainy. Anyway…Happy Easter to those who celebrate.
4/01 - DNW
My morning schedule got discombobulated and I didn’t feel like undressing to weigh in, so….
4/02 - DNW
4/03 - 195
That’s amazing, since I’ve been eating a bit too much the past 3 days. Fine by me! I’ve set up some “change of habit” goals to apply one-by-one over the next few rounds, beginning this round and next with no snacking while reading, which I do all to often. Like many people, I tend to come up with multiple changes I want to make all at once and it never works, so I’m going to try one or two at a time. Small changes add up!
4/04 - 194.8
No one else showed up for agility class, so Charlie and I got 20 minutes of running time. I wasn’t running all of that, but a good portion, so good spurt of exercise.
4/05 - 194.8
I’m still getting used to not tracking my food, so this is fine. I’m confident I’ll do progressively better as I’m paying more attention to what I actually want to eat and whether I’m really hungry or just want something in my mouth. Warmer weather will help, and that seems to be coming in a few days—yay!

It's been a while since I've been here, but decided to focus on weight loss again and this has always been a helpful tool for me. Lost 30 pounds last spring. then gained a few of those back. Have kept up my daily walks, but need to concentrate on nutrition. Trying to get in the 60's by my son's wedding at the end of April..

I'll just need to figure out when I'm in ketosis without relying on on strips, lol
By the time I bought strips I had been eating keto for about 6 weeks. They never changed color when I tried them. I bought a KetoMojo meter (amazon) and strips eventually and now have strips on auto ship from Best Ketone Test dot com. The people at BKT are awesome. I did not experience that when I contacted the people at
KetoMojo. Just my experience. No affiliation.2 -

@reshii_devi, I did use those urine strips when I began keto. They're really useless after your 1st significant rise in ketones. I knew I was in ketosis, or maybe I should say, my body was using ketones as fuel, when I could be around grain carbs and sweets and had no desire to eat them. Even fruit smelled extremely sweet to me.5

Comments pertain to the day before
3/27 – 137.5
3/28 - 136.5 Yesterday was a good day. Cleaned in preparation for the arrival of DGD#2 this evening.
3/29 - 136.0 DGD’s flight was delayed about 7 hours so I’m a bit sleep deprived. Today is DGD#3’s 21st birthday. Her mom woke her at 11:45 last night and took her for her first adult beverage and a chance to win at a slot machine.
3/30 - 134.0 I had 2 eggs for brunch and beef brisket for dinner. 3 sips of celebratory champagne at nail salon. DGD#2 spent the day and night with her cousins and aunt and uncle after the ladies got pedis and I got a mani.
3/31 - 134.0 Tried a place our daughter told us about that is owned by a friend of hers. All I ate all day were those 2 tacquitos.
4/1 - 136.0 Honey baked ham, 1/2 cup mashed potatoes and some roasted broccoli. I knew this was going to be a tough week with DGD#2 visiting and lots of eating out and didn’t even consider Easter. 4/2 137.0 Having an out of town family member visit turns into an eating festival. I don’t feel great (no TMI, in spite of Miralax) I’m so bloated.
4/3 - 135.5 Today - One more non-compliant day as my #2 daughter, DGD#2 and I go to Chocolate and Wine tasting at 4:30 at the Ethel M store/factory, followed by family dinner at an Italian restaurant (deep dish pizza)
4/4 - 137.0 I ordered Eggplants Parm - it was the worst eggplant ever. I didn’t know you could make tough eggplant. It was inedible so I ate the cheese and sauce off the top. The chocolate and wine tasting was interesting and fun. Too much salt, not enough water. Three pizzas of which I ate none. DGD#2 flies back to Iowa this morning.
4/5 - 136.5 Golden Corral this afternoon. I’m pleased with my AW being lower than my SW considering the circumstances.6 -

hmmmm ... I've felt like that occasionally, but not often enough, lol ~ I've been intermittent fasting 18-20+ hours several days per week regularly, but with carbs in the 70-100+ range most days. Hoping cutting carbs to 10-12%, eating my first meal earlier and ending last within circadian window will make a noticeable difference. Working on finding the balance of getting into deeper ketosis without losing muscle, weakening my bones or raising cholesterol with too much fat.3 -

Popcorn is my ❤️
I used to arrange a “girls day out to a movie” just because I wanted that giant bucket of popcorn and butter. The best part (LOL) was that I could get a refill to take home and share with DH. I don’t know why movie theater popcorn tastes so different.
Late to the party ladies, but theatre popcorn is the ONLY reason I'll go the movies, lol ... as I don't do it often, I look forward to it every time! 😋😋😋

April 4th: Still on the keto investigative trail ... searching, strategizing and SCARED lol
April 3rd: Uuuuggggghhhh .... of course! as soon as I increased my step goal, I've failed to meet it two days in a row ~ I did however get more time in the pool with an aquatic class and additional 20 laps, 30 minutes on the treadmill at slight incline, 5 minutes tripping over my feet jumping rope, lol and 5 minutes of kettle bell and battle rope exercises @ the gym.
STILL TO Do: Adjust dietary goals and menu planning/shop to include lower carb/keto choices after reading journal papers on brain and body metabolic benefits. Can't believe will be 58 in a few weeks and plan on looking/feeling my best! 🥳🥳🥳Reversing the clock baby!
April 2nd: Back in the pool after 5 days, I could really feel the difference! Weighing before and after, ironically dropped more than 2 pounds of what must have been water weight, lol
April 1st: Knew the extra carbs and alcohol would result in a bump today but okay about it as I exercised all weekend to offset. Would have been much worse without working out. Onwards!
March 31st: Away from home but have exercise bands and plan to use them!! Definitely allowing myself a few indulgences today and tomorrow, but hoping staying within BMR keeps any gains to 1-2lbs. Not trying to leave onederland!!! Have a great weekend all!
March 30th: A lot on my mind with no plans other than some much needed Good Friday fasting and reflection today. Happy Easter to those who celebrate! Have a blessed weekend filled with happiness and love.
March 28th: DNW ~ nothing to say
March 27th: was hoping for another drop, but happier there's no gain! @ lowest weight since 2018 and celebrating by upping the ante ~ increasing strength workouts and raising my minimum step count from 9 to 10K. Hoping to lose 2-3lbs and another 1-2 inches.8 -
I'm also thankful for you and this group as well ❤️❤️❤️
@Sweetzyd
Thank you for the ❤️!! Your kind words made my heart 😊 smile and gave me a big, gentle PUSH!
Onward!!
