Good morning, my chickens, from the pre-dawn darkness of the soggy Arkansas River Valley,
Up far too early this morning, but slept very well, and feel ten times better than yesterday. Doesn't hurt that I have a sleepy Egg on my lap, purring madly, eyes tight shut, hoping I'll quit typing soon. Yeah, there she goes... Ah well.
After I launched my whine to y'all yesterday, things did straighten up quite a bit. A few more visits to the littlest room, and my gut finally stopped. I was able to at least get back to the quilt, and make a little progress. Then Corey made shrimp and grits (I made the grits) for dinner for me. My day ended up a whole lot better than it had started. He made "skillet chili" for himself, so he was happy, too.
Rain predicted on and off all day today and tomorrow, but there are worse things than working inside. Unfortunately, if the weather wigglies are right, it will also be raining most of the time my friend is here--she and her husband will get here Thursday, and stay 7 to 8 days. Hopefully the weather wienies will be wrong once more. They're definitely not good at predicting anything more a week out. Not going to worry about it - sweating what the weather will be is probably the definition of a waste of energy.
The sky is just beginning to lighten up now. Time to get some laundry folded, and once Cor's awake, I'll get some coffee to him. I love helping him really enjoy his weekend mornings, where he can loll in bed, explore all his little pig trails around the Internet on his laptop and just relax in his happy place. He does so much for me (like shrimp and grits), and being able to give that back makes me happy.
Hope it is or was a lovely, peaceful day for everyone.
Love,

Good morning ladies!
Thank you Lisa and Michele. I have been feeling down lately. I never signed up for that pharmacy technician class, and now I'm spending more time driving dad around. I might have missed my window of opportunity. I keep thinking about my trip in October and wondering if that will get cancelled too. Well, this phase won't last forever.
I know I really need to get back on my bike. I stopped when I was sick. Maybe later today.
I went out to eat with my dad last night. I had a burger loaded with extras, enough calories to make me feel sick. At least I don't do that very often. It was a learning experience.
The electrician came yesterday, so the garage fridge is working again and that is taken care of. There was an old GFCI thingie that tripped and needed replacement. We bought a whole house surge protector too. So the house is safe again.
Today I need to trim a mat from Teddy's paw. He won't like it. And pick up some things, and maybe do some laundry. And maybe figure out how to get rid of the basement fridge.
So have a marvelous day ladies! May you be happy, healthy, safe and free!

@exermomWorked then put down top soil. See, we had some left over from last year and I really want to get it down before lots of weeds grow on it because I know who’ll wind up having to cut those weeds down. Same person who had to cut the weeds off the pile of dirt they left after putting in the pool. Shoveled some in different places. Vince is really tired so I told him that I’d shovel tomorrow and he can just smooth out the dirt because I really want to get that dirt taken care of. I’ll shovel, that I don’t mind. Update: got my car, Vince's back is bothering him and since it's misting out, decided not to do the dirt. Hopefully, we can tomorrow or Sunday (I have to lector tomorrow)
Michele NC
Cutting weeds doesn't help. You've got to pull them out roots and all. It's very satisfying to do that.
@sh0tzz99Hello Ladies!
We are back from our weekend, on which both of us got sick. We managed to keep it at bay until we got home. I spent all day Sunday in bed. I didn’t even have the energy to warm up soup. It’s rare that I get sick, so this really stunk. One of the mister’s colleagues went to the office and coughed all over everyone. I’m really shocked that I got sick. He mister had COVID and I didn’t get that. This appears to just be a wicked cold. I’m still coughing, but it’s better every day. The mister does not seem to be improving. He’s going on sick for 2 weeks.

Time for a visit with the doctor to see if he's got bronchitis or a sinus infection?

I know you have to be around your father a lot, but if you can be out for a while now and then, what about getting a part-time job in a pharmacy? In the small pharmacies here, the cashiers also take the prescriptions and pass them along to the pharmacist. You might be able to learn a bit on the job. Then, if you still want to take the course, you will already know some of the terminology.

My old earbuds didn't fit my ears well, fell out, and kept their charge for no time at all. If I wasn't going out of the house, it was more trouble than not, to use them. Basically, they were a pain.
I'm someone who is used to soldiering on with sub-par things, blaming myself for their poor performance. I also don't like spending money that I don't need to. But, I'm changing. If something is irritating me, then I feel more empowered to change it. So I reluctantly, guiltily, looked for new earbuds and was amazed to see how cheap they were! The price of a takeaway pizza!
Mine arrived yesterday evening. All charged up and ready to go. Oh my! I hadn't realised how bad the sound quality was on my, more expensive, old ones. These opened up a whole new world. I truly was stunned and couldn't stop listening.
I still haven't mastered the tapping business, but I can practice.
They are cheap. They probably won't last long. But, for now, I'm happy.

I tend to find something that's not working as well as I would like, and I think to myself, "It's 2024 ... they've got to have invented something better than this by now! And usually they have.

We took another load to the house today. We're trying to get all the garden stuff over there, and will work on setting some of that up.
We're also trying to get quite a bit of the kitchen and bathroom stuff over there. We're leaving the bathroom floors and paint colours as they are. And we're leaving the kitchen cupboards alone so stuff can go in there.
Some stuff is temporarily going onto the upper shelf of the built in robes.
Then we dressed up and went to the symphony.

On a gray rainy day went to Art in Bloom with my friend Jane. We had a wonderful time. I will be posting more over the next few days.

This is the painting that was the theme of Art in Bloom. It is about balance...This painting inspired the floral arrangement Jane and I are standing in front of. There were numerous interpretations throughout the exhibit. One of my favorite activities for the year.<img src="https://scontent-msp1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t39.30808-6/439935908_2231151050558027_6277686198522715538_n.jpg?stp=dst-jpg_s640x640&_nc_cat=111&ccb=1-7&_nc_sid=5f2048&_nc_ohc=axR1hFu_FMIQ7kNvgGHavMn&_nc_ht=scontent-msp1-1.xx&oh=00_AfAgGXHChtAoeEGQgZIGN1YrNloovpTn4Ga_H_OYS5BliA&oe=6632CB8E" alt="May be art of text"/>

“MFP Timeless Tale of Treachery and Treason in a Kingdom Far, Far Away”
“After the mysterious disappearance of Cinderella, Prince Charming is throwing a fancy dress ball to find a new bride. Some of the kingdom residents question how the prince could move on so quickly, while others are jumping at the chance to earn their spot as the new princess in the castle. No one has seen the Prince since Cinderella disappeared and the rumors are rampant!”
During the ball, as the dancing and rumors escalate, someone dies in the palace. Who died? Where? When? Why? How long was the victim dead? How did the victim die? What is happening?????
RVRita (Fairy Godmother) from the Kingdom of Roswell…….
Part 2:
The Ball has begun and people are arriving in droves. The entire MFP Women’s 50 plus group have arrived. The band has begun with background quiet music to welcome the guests. The servers are wandering among the guests with low carb, low calorie snacks, water, flavored waters, wine and diet drinks.
Fairy Godmother stands at the entrance welcoming the guests. Look! Here comes Jinn, Dwarf, Red’s Gran, Red, Rapunzel, Pixie, and Nosey! No one has seen Prince Charming. When will he arrive? The party is for him to choose a new bride. The crowd talks about the missing Cinderella and what they feel the Prince is rushing the search for a new bride.
The night progresses with more questions as it is near Midnight now, but the Prince has not shown up for his own Ball. Questions are floating among the guests as the band plays on.
The guest gasps in shock as Sleeping Beauty has just shown up with Cinderella!!

PART 3
Cinderella (AKA Lisa in AR) turns to Sleeping Beauty (AKA Allie) at the door, "Look, SleeBea, I REALLY am not up for this. Look at all these people dressed to the nines!" She gestures to her feet, which are in some seriously dirty white Crocs, with weeds and dirt scattering from the holes. "You know how the Prince feels about shoes, he can't see me in these..." and gesturing to the rest of her tattered, filthy ballgown, with a few shiny bits showing through the dirt here and there, "And I look like I've been rode hard and put away wet." Sleeping Beauty, who's hoping the Prince will finally see her at her best standing next to a bedraggled, less-than-spiffy Cinderella, drags her further into the ballroom. There they bump slap up against the Fairy Godmother, who had been greeting the rest of the guests, but looks completely shocked to see the two of them...
At the same time, Nosy and Pixie are working around the crowd gathering the gossip and any hints about where or when Prince Charming will appear, and what happened to Cinderella. Pixie is flying around and Nosy is walking around the talking groups. They plan on joining up and sharing what they found out to try to work out what is REALLY happening.
(Earlier, before the guests started to arrive), I don't know why Fairy God mother is so unaware that Aladdin swung by on his carpet to get is BF Prince C away for awhile so he could think things out. Aladdin thought introducing him so some of Jasmine's friend might help him realize the possibilities he has.
The Prince thinks: {I was quite pleased with Aladdin sweeping by with his carpet, and helping me to escape from the palace for a while. And then he goes and starts trying to pair me up with Jasmine’s friends. That’s a dead liberty! I’m perfectly capable of making up my own mind.}
Red is overwhelmed with all the people and conversations going on. She is curious as she notices all the note taking and flitting about. She is ready to jump to help Cinderella get presentable for the ball, but grandma is holding her back.
Meanwhile, Rapunzel is standing on the stage singing (because we all know she attracts her suitors with her lovely singing voice) and watching everything going on.
When she sees Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty come in, Rapunzel goes into a rousing rendition of "Do you believe in life after love?" Then Rapunzel slides into "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair" and then into a female version of Elvis Presley's - "I'm Moving On" with Grettel showing her stuff on the piano.
By the time Rapunzel breaks into "I Will Survive", Grettel begins to think something's up.
BabaYaga has shown up, much to Hansel and Grettel’s dismay. She has brought sweets to pass around to the guests. Nosy and Pixie are right there greeting her, then begin to follow her around.
Cinderella elbows Sleeping Beauty, and whispers, so the Godmother can't hear, "Are you listening to what Zel's singing? You think she's right? I need to just wash the Prince right out of my hair? I thought he was my destiny, but after this last business, when he didn't even show up to rescue me, I just don't know." Sleeping Beauty looks at her with wild speculation in her eyes. Could Drilly FINALLY be releasing her hooks from the Prince? Or was she just joshing her? Did Sleeping Beauty finally have a chance for her own one true love that didn't just go around waking people up for a living? Human alarm clocks were just sooo 1540s... and annoying.
In a corner of the ball room, we find the Jinn, BabaYaga, Red’s Gran, Herbbette, and Fairy Godmother with bent heads talking suspiciously.
Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty make their way through the crowd and up the back stairs to Cinderella’s room to get cleaned up. On their way up, they pass the kitchen to find all the servants bent over looking at……. A dead body!!! Cindy and Sleeping Beauty scream. The piano and singing play on…..
PART 4
Jinn is beginning to think being in the bottle is the only safe place while others are missing, but who does she want to keep her company??
Gretel is sipping some wine when she notices BabaYaga walk in. She suggests to Hansel that since BabaYaga is here, this would be the perfect time to go to her house and eat it. They decide to sneak out the back so Fairy Godmother doesn’t see them. As they pass the kitchen, they notice Cindy, SB, and THE BODY!
Cindy and SB look down at what is very definitely a dead body, and Sleeping Beauty slaps her hands over eyes and starts screaming. So Cindy started screaming. Then she caught herself, and caught her friend by both shoulders. "Stop it, girl, stop screaming!" She gestured to the body in what looked like a pool of old red wine... "Screaming won't do them any good, now will it!" She turned, and saw Hansel and Gretel peeking at them, googly-eyed, "Go get the Godmother, you two! Someone's been murdered!" Sleeping Beauty, peeking between her fingers, said, "How do you know it's murder?" Cinderella opened her mouth, and as she began to speak, a voice interrupted...
At the screams, Jinn retreats to her bottle, Fairy Godmother, pops in by Cinderella, Red’s Gran and Herbette run into the kitchen to see what the fuss is about. BabaYaga takes her time walking to the kitchen to join the others. The rest of the guests begin to crowd into the hallway to the kitchen.
In the kitchen, Sleeping Beauty drags Cindy out of the kitchen and pushes her up the stairs to her room to calm down and clean up. Aladdin has returned with the Prince to everyone’s surprise. They run to the kitchen just in time to spot Cindy and Beauty going up the stairs, but stay to help with the dead body. No one recognizes this body, and Aladdin discovers no visible reason for the person to be dead. Everyone is suspecting Jinn, but Jinn in is the bottle shaking in fear. Pixie and Nosey go to the kitchen with Pixie shrinking and flitting around the body to see what she can find out. Nosey is roaming about the crowd to see if there are any clues. The Prince makes everyone leave the scene and he covers the body until more can be discovered. The kitchen is now closed with the servents joining the guests in the Ballroom.
Fairy Godmother who is WHERE??????
Part 5
Meanwhile, back at the castle, up in one of the many bedrooms, Sleeping Beauty finishes combing the bits of tree trash out of Cinderella's hair. Cindy is oblivious to the yanks and mild curses, simply smoothing the same gown the Fairy Godmother made her what seemed like a hundred years ago, and saying as much to Sleeping Beauty. "Don't even TALK to me about a hundred years until you've slept that long," said SB. Finishing Cindy's hair with one last yank, she lays the ornate hairbrush on the dresser, and they both head for the door of the room and then down the stairs once more. There, the Prince is just coming out of the kitchen, looking harried and worried.
"Who is it," Cindy asks, "And what happened?"
"I don't know," the Prince said, and in a low voice, "But whoever, or whatever, did the killing, they may still be here in the castle." And then, realizing who he's talking to, "And where have you been?"
Zel and Gretel have taken a break from the stage and passed the singing onto Pixie (Rebecca). Pixie, has taken a break from gathering information and has opted to watch the crowd from the stage while entertaining them with a popular selection of opera favourites.
Zel slips over to Griselda (Rusty), and asks her if she knows where Cindy was and why she looks so dirty. Why did Cindy look like she had been digging? Griselda notices that Zel seems quite edgy ... almost nervous.
"She better not have been digging around my tower", mutters Zel as she moves off to try to find Fairy Godmother who doesn't appear to be in the ballroom.
"Everyone is disappearing around here!" complains Zel. "Who would know what Cindy was up to? Pixie? She's singing. Oh, maybe Nosey (Michele). Nosey seems to know everything."
Zel rushes up and grabs Nosey by the shoulder, "Nosey ... you must know what's going on. What happened to Cindy? Where was she?"
Nosey shakes her (his?) head to indicate she (he?) doesn't know then says, "But someone saw a light on in your tower window this evening while you were here. Did you leave the light on?"
Zel looked horrified for a moment and then ran out of the ballroom.
On her way to the tower:\
Zel tied her hair around her waist and sprinted across the drawbridge and down the road, through the wood and into the meadow ... then disappeared from view.
A few minutes later, she sprinted up the winding stairs to her tower floor.
Sure enough.
There stood the old witch herself, Dame Gothel.
"How did you get out? The door at the bottom is sealed!", screamed the old witch, "Where have you been?"
"How did you get in?", asked Zel
"They have created ladders, little girl. I had to go and get a ladder! And now I am going to cut your hair off and close you in this tower forever!
As Gothel lunged for Zel, a hand reached out, grabbed Zel's hand and pulled her down the stairs and into Zel's secret tunnel.
Gothel ran after the pair, but lost her footing and tumbled down the stairs before she could see where they had gone.
The couple popped up in the meadow and ran into the wood, then stopped to catch their breaths behind a tree.
"Won't everyone be surprised to see YOU!", cried Zel.
Outside the castle:
Spotting BabaYaga in the now crowded kitchen, Gretel grabs Hansel and heads for the front door of the castle. At least the dead body has provided a distraction for them to leave to party and look for BabaYaga’s delicious house.
They push through the large wooden doors into the cool night air. As they are descending the castle steps, they spot a cloaked figure lurking at the bottom of the steps. They tip toe as far as they can along the opposite side of the large stone steps. When they get to the bottom, they turn onto the pathway leading away from the castle and to the main road. Just when they think they are in the clear, a hand harshly grabs Hansel’s shoulder. He yells. Gretel turns to see the cloaked figure grabbing Hansel. She body slams the figure to the ground, pushes back the hood of the cloak to see that it is….
In the ballroom, the servants, some with trays, some without are mulling around nervously. Suddenly, one of them drops his tray and faints. Coming too, he mumbles that he saw the body fall out of the larder when he went to get more snacks. “The body fell knocking the wine bottle out of my hand and scaring the life out of me!” He didn’t want to say anything but “I was scared they would blame me for the death! I swear I didn’t do it!”
In the kitchen, before he covered the body, The Prince took a look at the face and recognized the body! He hurriedly put the face back down and covered the body. He is stumped as to what happened to his friend. He orders the servants to lock all the doors and windows and not let anyone else in or out. Too late for Hansel, Gretel, and Zel who are also in trouble now…
NEW CHARATERS TO USE:
Gothel —Witch
Shrek—-Friendly Ogre
Fiona—-Shrek’s Ogre wife
The Beast—Belle’s partner
Part 6
Fairy Godmother magically pops into the kitchen to see what she can do. She gets there before everyone leaves, looks around and examines the body from afar. She then pops out and into Cinderella’s room. She sees that Sleeping Beauty is helping her and offers to help speed up Cindy’s cleanup. (And while she’s at it, sprucing up Sleeping Beauty a little as well).
Nosy, standing near the front door, tries to stop anyone who is leaving to ask if they know anything. There is a rumor going around the Ball now that there is a hole dug out behind Zel’s tower. The rumor is that Cindy was found out there. The servants shut and lock the doors, pushing Nosy back into the hall. He rushes over to Pixie to exchange notes with her. What have they found out?? They are keeping it all to themselves.
Outside, Hansel and Grettle have been found by Shrek, who questions them about why they are outside and running away from the Ball. Zel, has run into Fiona in the tunnel. (Unbeknownst to anyone, Shrek and Fiona had been hired to guard the Ball and any ‘secret’ means of entering and leaving.
Herbette, the dwarf (Tracey) had been helping Zel with digging the tunnel. The hole dug out behind Zel’s tower looks like a grave. Hebette helped with digging that too, but has kept quiet thus far. She knows far more than Nosy or Pixie, but is keeping quiet for now.
Gretel realizes the cloaked figure is their good friend, Shrek. She quickly apologizes as she and Hansel help Shrek up to his feet. They explain they were just trying to take the opportunity to go munch on BabaYaga’s house while she was otherwise occupied. Shrek can certainly understand, but tells them this is not the time to be out roaming through the woods with a killer on the loose. Gretel concedes that she is thirsty and would love some more of the Prince’s wine. The trio is chatting while walking back to the castle when suddenly Hansel falls into the deep hole in the ground. While Gretel calls down into the hole to see if Hansel is alright, Shrek notices their proximity to Zel’s tower. He knows Fiona was around here. He sees the hole, but no sign of his love. “FIOOOOONNNNAA,” he yells.
Fiona jogs up to Shrek dragging someone along who is limping badly and protesting loudly.
"Guess who I found in Zel's tunnel", announces Fiona, "Dame Gothel!"
Gothel shrieks when she sees Shrek, and then screams, "I am going to cut her hair and lock her in the tower forever! She's a wicked, wicked girl! After all I've done for her, she ran off with him!"
Shrek and Fiona quickly look at Gothel, "What happened? Zel ran off with who?"
"I'm sure she's been seeing him on the sly. That's why she dug that tunnel! I figured she'd go to the ball tonight to see him again. Sure enough, she wasn't in her tower tonight and I had to haul a ladder to the tower to get in!" grumbled Gothel while stretching her neck and shoulders. "Hurt my shoulder!"
Shrek urged Gothel on, "OK but what happened then?"
"Zel, that ungrateful brat, came in from underneath the tower and up the stairs. Just when I was reaching out to her, he grabbed her and they ran down the stairs! They tripped me, I'm sure of it, and I fell on the stairs." complained Gothel, rubbing her leg.
"Who grabbed her?" said Shrek and Fiona in unison.
Gothel straightened up, "Prince Charming, of course."
"What???" shouted Shrek, Fiona, Hansel and Gretel.
Gothel gestured impatiently, "Prince Charming ... him!", she pointed to the figure at the top of the castle stairs, "HIM!" Gothel turned to face Prince Charming, "YOU! How did you get here so quickly? Where is Zel?"
Prince Charming looked confused.
Then he called out, "I've been busy inside, and just stepped outside to wait for my father's knights to arrive."
Gothel shouted back, "You couldn't have! You were just running away with Zel! I saw you with my own eyes!"
Hearing the noise outside, Nosy and Pixie quietly stepped out the castle door to listen in and take notes.
Prince Charming shook his head and made a dismissive gesture, "Crazy old woman! Take her inside. The servants are setting up tables and chairs in the ballroom for everyone and we're about to serve a light meal. Shrek ... make sure no one leaves the ballroom."
Shrek, Fiona, Hansel, Gretel and Gothel all went inside. Fiona still had a grip on Gothel's arm not wanting to give her the opportunity to dash outside. Shrek took up his post next to the ballroom door. No one saw Nosy and Pixie taking notes.

A lot were tiny little things that I can't go out to buy, like a cheap washing up brush, and leather cream for my old handbag, but one bigger thing was a cheap clothes steamer to get the wrinkles out of clothes. I never iron any more, so I hope this will be useful to take out the odd crease from delivered clothes. I have a couple of new t shirts that need a freshen up from packaging.
Tomorrow would have been our cruise start. I would now be getting agitated about my packing! Instead, I can relax.

I am writing up the conclusion to our story. I will post it soon. Having to pull the entire story together before revealing the victim and killer. Nosy and Pixie will explain how they found out……. Stay tuned!!

I can do that tomorrow as I am about to go to sleep. And we need to be friends here first.

Vicki - I saw that some nasty tornadoes went through your area yesterday. Hope you and yours were safe.
Margaret - Art in Bloom was a terrific way to spend time with Jane. You look great and love that cute top.
Annie - glad the electrician made it out and fixed the problem. Understandable that it's hard to get back in the groove with exercise, diet and the pharmacy tech plans. Your dad's situation takes a lot of your energy, I'm sure. Do what you can and don't beat yourself up if things don't go as planned. No judgement here. We've all had periods of time in our life when we've had to deviate from or postpone our plans.
Heather - thank you for the info on the cc cream, I hadn't heard of it before. When I was working, applying my "face" took about a minute, lol. Brush on some Clinique mineral powder (help hide my rosacea redness), a dab of powder blush and quick swipe of mascara. I'm slowly working my way back in now by wearing lipstick when I go out, and the Clinique powder. My eyes are dry and itchy from allergies so will take my time finding mascara (and eye makeup remover.) That "Littlepoet" on YouTube has videos about makeup for older gals. She goes to a lot more trouble than I intend to, but then she is filming her YouTube channel so has to get spiffed up.
Lisa - glad you are feeling better. What will your friend and her husband be doing while they are visiting? I'm guessing you won't be in charge of entertaining them the whole time.
My sis and her husband are finalizing plans for their quick visit in July. Found out my nephew and his 2 kids will also be stopping by to say Hi as well. It's going to be busy, but not for long. They'll all be on the road to Seattle before we get talked out.
Make it a great weekend!

Heather - I’m going to get some of that CC Cream I hadn’t heard of it before.
Machka - I hope the second company gets a quote to you soon. What a pain. Same thing is happening here, tradespeople are hard to get.
Annie - I hope you are getting some quiet time for yourself too, it’s hard looking after an aging parent.
Well I made it yet second week of practicum. Two of the classes I was in yesterday were using Canva to create projects for the subjects they were learning.
I would have loved technology in school.
If I had been given projects for everything when I was young I would have been a much better student.
One class had to be news anchors with “Breaking News”stories about the Spanish/Aztec war. They needed three one minute segments depicting the start, middle and end of the war.
In the other class they have to create a front page newspaper about the book they just finished called Peak. There were four mini assignments throughout the reading and those four need to be pulled into make their paper.
Interesting stuff.
One thing I didn’t learn in my course is how to teach children that are tired or apathetic. Or how to teach some basics. One of the classes I’m in has two students that don’t sleep, due to home life issues, we are learning circles, radius, diameter and circumference. I know how to come up with the answer but not the formal way that the teacher does it. Maybe it will be easier when I’m there for the lesson .
I’m going to a thing with Kaitlyn today and then having supper at Raquel’s Mom’s house.
Should be fun.

Thank you Lisa, Machka, Heather, Carol, Lanette, and Tracey. Your support means a lot to me. I don't know whether Dad would be safe alone or not. It's a risk.
I did my exercise! Yay! Twenty eight minutes on my bike and twenty minutes walking! Yay!

Today’s gratitude: Joe made biscuits. Since I couldn’t resist, I savored every bite. ;} Sat with him and eventually he looked up from the laptop and talked to me. Waiting rewarded
Roomba is misbehaving, app can’t connect, seems like failing to charge. Could it need another new battery already? Foo!
Machka brava for more flights of stairs and weight loss. Wish I could inspire Joe to take an interest in our day to day (bills, finances, long term plans) like Rowan. Joe’s like Lisa’s Corey, I will have to push the will making, trust set up etc. I procrastinate. :{
Whoops only through pg 50 but time to prep for dog group.
Later, lighter, lovelies!

Much love and energy heading to all of you who are feeling stress, pain and/or helplessness.
Spent the morning catching up on the last 10 days of your posts and wild murder mystery. It's cold, snowy and my hips are sore from working 8 hours at last night's hockey playoff game. So, since I've gotta rest, I'm doing it with you on my phone and a cat on my lap.
Machka: LOVE all the upgrades you've chosen for your house. That's a huge step but knowing how well you research, I'm sure you're going to be very glad you made the jump to home ownership.
Annie: A day at a time...sending you strength as you navigate this delicate phase with your dad.
Margaret: one day I want to go to your art exhibition. Looks fantastic.
Allie: Prayers going up for Tracy.
Lisa: Bravo to you keeping up with yoga. Have the best time ever with your friend.
Heather: I'll be reading your book this weekend. Your art is inspiring.
I'm another one who never gets family visitors. They are all tight 3 generation units located in separate states. Easier for me to bop over. As for calls....I just plain stink at picking up the phone to chat. Have to work on that.
My gentleman friend and I have a play date in Charleston, SC next month. We haven't seen each other in 6 months. Will have to make up for lost time.
My teams are all in playoff mode. I'm working more, by choice and necessity as this month my savings took a huge hit: furnace repair, income taxes and cat health. Mars has the start of kidney deterioration. Heading to vet in a few minutes to pick up prescription food low in protein and phosphorous. He is 13+ and still an active, happy boy. Adding this to my daily gratitudes.
Everyone stay well. We can do this.

Worked then stopped at WalMart since we needed baking soda for the pool and I got a few other things. Then worked outside putting down the topsoil. Tomorrow we’ll probably finish and then put down the grass seed. Boy, will I be glad when this is over.
The plan for tomorrow is to do a Joyce Vidral Complete Workout DVD then take a walk around the neighborhood then I want to go to Aldi. I’ve been putting things off so that I wouldn’t have to drive Vince’s vehicle but now that I have my car back, I need to get caught up. Vince is going to meet someone so I might put together the turkeys for the bowling party and if I have time I’ll make the mac and cheese.
M – there is no way I could have pulled the weeds out by the root, not the ones that were on that hill. I had to use a hedge trimmer to get them down. Then I had someone spread the dirt around. No way could I have pulled those roots. Those weeds had been there for at least 3 years. Can you imagine how large the roots were? I’m sure you enjoyed the symphony
Margaret – beautiful flower but I especially like the painting
Heather – never heard of “every storm runs out of rain” but I like it!
Rori – It’s always nice to see you popping in. So sorry to hear about Mars. Is it going to be food from Royal Canin?

Rori Sorry to hear of Mars' health issues. May the food help and you have many more years with him.
Loving the story!
In Kentucky this weekend. I enjoyed some time sitting in the sunshine and reading a magazine after a week of "Mondays". It felt good to get things off my to do list for work that have been there all week. I took a quick cat nap (unplanned), then started more work paperwork. 4 hours later and feeling accomplished today.
Healing thoughts!
Congratulations to losses and movements!
Excited for new changes!

And just keeping with the theme, Eli had his shots and was cranky!
I wish we as adults could just blurt out crying like that whenever huh?!!💖. There would be less therapists!
