I just cancelled my Noom subscription because I couldn't logg my steps. Is there a way to do this in My Fitness Pal?

Not directly: you can sync certain apps/trackers that count your steps with MFP.
There's a list of compatible apps: https://www.myfitnesspal.com/apps0 -
I am also wondering how to link the app with garmin connect for my exercise and steps0

Is there a reason you want to log your steps? If you know what they are via smart watch, just use that number to set your activity level manually (lightly active etc). Or do you mean you want calories burned from a walk added to MFP as you do it?0

If I remember correctly, it requires adding MFP in Garmin Connect as well as adding Garmin Connect in MFP.1 -
If you're not talking about a fitness device sync, you can manually set up a "Measurement" that requires you to manually input your steps.
Go to My Home > Check In > Track Additional Measurements here https://www.myfitnesspal.com/measurements/change
It will keep track on an ongoing basis and even generate a report in the Report section.
There is info for various Apps in "Help" > App Gallery here: https://support.myfitnesspal.com/hc/en-us/categories/360002205352-App-Gallery1 -
If you’re in the Apple ecosystem you can set it up through allowing MFP access to your health app data and/or your Apple Watch
