Any Ultra Runners here trying to get to peak race weight?

Hi All, My name is Nicki and I am a ultra marathon runner. After some injuries and a somewhat demoralising DNF last year, I have calculated (with assistance from my coach) and started to work on getting to my peak race weight. Anyone else out there had to fight that fine line between fuelling for race training and remaining in a deficit, especially on those last few kilos?
For reference, I need to be down to 70.9kgs and I am currently fluctuating between 76.4-77.2 and have been here somewhat plateaued for about 6 weeks. Base calorie goal has been adjusted as Ive lost the weight (started 8/8/23 at 86kgs and calorie base has been adjusted every 3-4weeks)
