FINALLY DOING IT!

I’m a 62 year young female. Starting weight on 3/9/24 was 301.9 and in less than 2 weeks I lost 21lbs. I currently weigh 280.1 and I’m weighing again in 2 days on 4/11/24. I went from only sitting or laying down to getting out and walking. I started out slow and I’m gradually building up. I would like tj eventually walk 10,000 steps per day. I feel so much better now and hoping to get off my blood pressure meds in the next few months. I’m not new to MFP but all the times in the past I give up when life gets in the way. I had a scare with high blood pressure 3 days before I started this time and it scared me enough into realization that if I didn’t do something now I could possibly have a stroke, heart attack, or die. So I went cold Turkey and gave up fast foods, and sweet tea which I had become addicted to. I now only drink water and fat free milk.
We ALL deserve to live our best life and we can ALL do this together! I’m proud of each and every one of you for taking the leap and finding that happiness. Being over weight does a number on you physically and emotionally. I myself stopped going places. I just stayed at home to avoid the looks people gave me. Not anymore! This is OUR time everyone! WE CAN AND WILL DO THIS!!!
