Nutritional Education

I need help with nutrition facts beyond my own research. My PCP suggested this app to aid me in that education. I’m pre diabetic and my efforts have led me to lose some 20 pounds I “did not” need to lose as my weight and conditioning was not the issue. So while cutting out simple carbs and eliminating red meat and sweets led to the weight loss it only resulted in a very slight reduction in my A1C number. If anybody else has found nutrition facts that might help me I would love to hear them. I’m scheduled to get with a nutritionist in a few weeks but would love to get started now in the right direction. According to my desired weight gain this app says I’m only getting half the calories needed. But I don’t know how to fill the gap. All I’ve done is yo-yo my appetite.
