New clothes are keeping me motivated!

I decided to approach my weight loss journey a bit differently this time around. I usually hang on to all my clothes ( I have clothes in my closet that cover a 30-40lbs swing in weight) and rarely buy new clothes because I know I'm still looking to lose 10-15 more lbs of weight, so why waste money on clothes that might not fit in a few months. The problem with that is I lose incentive right around the wight I am right now (151ish). I look alright, and my clothes are usually really really loose because I'm wearing a size too big for me, and I think I don't need to continue on, or I stop tracking my food etc etc.
So here's what I did two weeks ago. I put on every pair of pants in my closet and sent anything that was loose, or made of stretch and sent it to the diabetes association. I actually had quite a few pairs of pants for 150 lbs that I had forgotten about because I haven't been able to wear them for so long. I also went shopping and picked up a few new pairs. By having pants that fit me right now and might even be a little snug around the waist has really helped keep me motivated. It reminds me that my journey isn't done, that I have to keep at it and I have a goal to make these pants feel loose so I can go shopping again! :-)
Anyways, I just thought I'd share just in case anyone is looking for ways to stay motivated.

Congratulations on your success! You are doing fabulous! I actually did the same thing recently. For the first time ever I actually donated clothes that are too big for me. I had clothes from a size 20 to a 14. I usually just store them until I grow back into them, but not this time! I got rid of everything that didn't fit and have picked up a few key staple items that I really need in my current size. I didn't want to do a big shopping spree when I still want to lose another 20 lbs or so, but I don't like walking around in clown pants either! It really is motivating when something you've just bought, that was a little snug, is suddenly comfortable if not loose. Best of luck as you keep moving forward!!0
