Good morning

Does calorie deficit mean to be in a calorie deficit for 7 days
Or just Monday Friday

Your calorie Goal on this site comes down to the general guideline that 3500 calories equals one pound, so if you have a 500 calorie deficit per day (which would be a one pound loss per week) that's 500 X 7=3500.

3500 calories is your weekly deficit for a one pound loss per week.

Something to consider is that if you over eat on the weekends, you can pretty quickly undo the deficit you ate from Monday to Friday.

But it's fine to average over a few days to a week. If you're 150 under goal on Monday, but 50 over on Tuesday, and 100 over on Wednesday, you'll end up with the same results for the week if you'd been exactly on goal for each of those 3 days.

Some people even decide to eat at a calorie deficit during the week, and maintenance calories on the weekend. The average for the week will determine long-run fat-weight change.
