Looking for high iron/folic acid recipes

Hi all,

I’m currently looking for some tasty high iron/folic acid recipes. I’m not particularly fond of meat, so prefer vegetarian recipes unless it’s chicken.

I’m constantly exhausted all the time and I’m currently waiting for a blood test but the last time I felt this way, I was severely aneamic. So I’m just hoping to boost my iron levels a little in the meanwhile.

    I don't use recipes (I just free-form cook, mostly), but some ingredients in my diary that are higher iron contributors are blackstrap molasses (a good brand has a surprising amount of iron and other micronutrients), tofu (which can be blended into things if a person dislikes the texture), and various veggies (greens, lentils, etc.)

    Since MFP doesn't track B-6, I'd have to do a web search to find relevant foods, and it would probably more useful if you (vs. me) were to do that, since you know what you like to eat.

    A thing to be aware of us that for iron, which MFP does track, not all foods that contain iron show iron content in the database. The database is crowd-sourced (entered by average users), so not all entries are complete/accurate. Sometimes that's because people don't care, sometimes because they don't have the information at hand.
