Pants Frustration

Just needed a little venting room.
I know that you can't target areas for fat loss but it is so frustrating that my pants fit at the waist but not the legs, thighs, and backside. I hate looking like I have a load in my pants at the office. I can wear dresses to my office but not client offices. I just wish the middle would catch up to the rest of me. UGH.

It is totally frustrating. I am right there with you. It is slowly getting better though.0

I'm completely with you.....my legs, rear and thighs stayed pretty thin, but I've added 12 inches to my tummy. Nothing fits right. If it goes round my tum, its way too loose everywhere else, even for a seamstress. I don't want to be one of those people who give up and live in sweatpants, but.....until I can lose this chub, I wish theyd come out with a "big in the belly" cut of pants....:blushing:0

sigh, me too...I'm pear shaped so pants really don't compliment me well. (unless I wear super high heels or whatever)
I love dresses and skirts though, embrace the thin waist!0 -
I love the idea of a "big in the belly" cut of pants. We should market that.:laugh:0

I still have most of my weight in my belly, I hear you.0

My pants fit great on my thighs, but they can't stay on my butt! It drives me crazy because I am constantly picking up the back of my pants. I think I need to do more squats =\0

I totally want the big in the belly pants. Seems like all the jeans I ever try on I have to "tuck" the fat on my hips in, and sorry, there's just not enough room in there. LOL0

First of all, regardless of your pant size, go out and try on pants (ignore the size) and look at how it fits. It maybe that a smaller size waist wise from a certain company fits better than another. Also, try to find ones that have some stretch (spandex) in the mix as that seems to help with the extra bagginess. You can also look for pants that have a wider leg, which is more of a classic style (think Katherine Hepburn). If your losing a lot of weight pretty quickly, then I can see how that can be frustrating. But, if you're like the average person, it's slow and steady so maybe also consider taking in a pair or two to your local dry cleaners (some do alterations) and have them taken in where you find them to be uncomfortable. These are hints and suggestions that I have to use when I am designing a show (as in costumes) but also when I go and help friends shop. Many people don't realize that out "standard" sizes aren't really standard and a size 12 from one company may be another company's size 16. Same goes for patterns when sewing-focus on the measurements and not the "size."0

I feel your pain. I have relatively slim legs but it's around my butt/stomach/mid-section that I'm super big. So any jeans that I try to wear end up being super loose around my legs and crotch area, but tight around my stomach and it just looks so bad.0

I'm an apple shape and have always wanted a small waist. Even at my lowest weight, my waist was still relatively large. I envy the ladies with the "hourglass" figures, although I'm sure they have fitting problems also. If pants fit my waist, they're baggy everywhere else.0

I have the opposite problem. Pants are always huge on top and too tight in the butt/thighs. My waist circumference is about a foot smaller than my hips o___o
I always wondered who can really fit into jeans like that. Such a specific body style! We come in all shapes!! Under the impression that satan is the one designing women's trousers... Or possibly someone who has never seen a woman in their life. hahaha
I have since given up and moved to mostly skirts/tights. So much more comfortable, and always flattering!0 -
I know how that feels. I look at some pants and it looked like they fit, but when I try them on, it's difficult because of my big, jiggly thighs. =(0
