My name is Donna. I am 64 years old and I live in the Midwest of the US. I am 5โ€™ 5โ€ tall. My highest weight was 253 in 2016. My MFP start weight was 235 in 2018.

Ultimate Goal Weight: 145-155 (Iโ€™ll know it when I get there!)

    Start Weight (from Apr 30th, 2024 ): 185.6

Goal Weight: 181.6 (4 pound loss)

End of Challenge Final Weight: xxxxx

    Weight lost/gained this month: xxxxx

Weight in blue makes me blue because itโ€™s a gain. Weight in fuchsia pink makes me feel cheery because itโ€™s a loss. Weight in black means no change.

    05/01-185.4-(Trend Weight: 182.3)-

    05/05-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)-
    05/12-185.4-(Trend Weight: 185.4)-

05/19-DNW-(Trend Weight: DNW)- I am gaining weight a little more each day. I can see it on the scale when I step on, I see it in the mirror, I feel it in my clothes. It feels like dry forest with a huge wildfire burning out of control. Throwing buckets of water on it will never put it out. Itโ€™s going to take a more than that, a LOT more.

05/26-184.6-(Trend Weight: 186.4)- I know I belong back in the 170โ€™s. I donโ€™t deserve the 160โ€™s yet, but the 170โ€™s is where my true home is (for now). Iโ€™ve just got to get back there! Iโ€™ve been feeling pretty lost since February, but I think Iโ€™m back on the right path now. Not the perfect path, but the right path. Today is the family BBQ. I donโ€™t expect that the scale will be a friendly place tomorrow but I will work on it hard this week. I donโ€™t expect I will meet my goal this month. Especially when it was my birthday month, Motherโ€™s Day and now the Memorial weekend Holiday. But I do want to end up with the scale lower than when I started so that is my mini goal this week. Memorial weekend unofficially marks the beginning of summer in the USA. Letโ€™s do Summer strong!

    05/31-xxxxx-(Trend Weight: xxxxx)-

Every healthy habit brings me closer to scratching each of these off to NEVER see them again!

@deepwoodslady Thank you! And I know, I weighed myself over the weekend and was already back over 200 ๐Ÿ˜‚ but I had some fun over the extended break and didnโ€™t hold back. Hopefully itโ€™ll fall off again now that Iโ€™ll go back to my regular routine lol

    Hi, my Name is Rhonda.
I did really well in Last month's challenge so I'm hoping to succeed this month in getting to Onederland again.
    HW: 256
    Got gastric sleeve in 2020.
    Lw after sleeve: 179
Didn't take vitamins and got sick and gained back up to 216.
Started April at 216 ended at 206.

    May Start Weight: 206
    May Goal Weight: 199
    Ultimate Goal Weight: 150

    May 1: 206
    May 8: 205
May 15: 203 I held steady ALL week 205 and I was getting disheartened then BOOM 203. I skipped 204
    altogether
    May 22: 205
    May 29: 202.5
    May 31:203
I'm really frustrated not to hit goal. I could tell week 5/22 I was holding water, and at one point I was 200.5 but I've just been holding steady at 202-205 the last few weeks. I'm still at 1400 calories and stay pretty consistent at that. I guess I'll figure it out. On to June.

Is it possible to step back and instead of having frustration at not meeting a somewhat arbitrary goal and instead give yourself some congratulations for losing three pounds? That's almost a pound a week, and that's GREAT!

If you weigh every day, and it looks like you might if you saw a much lower number one day, maybe you could use a spreadsheet to calculate a running average instead of paying ANY attention to the number on one given day. My mass goes up and down a whole lot. I went up two pounds in one day earlier this week, but it's been coming back down slowly since that day. My average weight only jumped up 0.4 pounds that day. Of course the average is still going up even though the scale is going down, but it really does help smooth out the normal fluctuations.
