Celebrate Intentional Weight Gain

At present, if you want to lose weight and succeed, MFP posts on your wall your accomplishment. If you gain weight, it does not post, sticking just to positive outcomes.

But what about those of us who are actually TRYING to gain weight? This includes people who are underweight, along with bodybuilders like myself who are trying to gain muscle. Despite having my goals as "gain weight," if I log an increase, MFP does not make a corresponding post.

My suggestion is to include a "succeeded gaining weight" post in mirror to the present "succeeded losing weight" posts. The verbiage can make it clear the person is trying to gain on purpose, such as "User X has successfully gained 0.2 lb/kg. They have gained 14 lb/kg to date."

Oh, man: I didn't realize it didn't already do that. I agree, it absolutely should.

Thank you so much for your input on this - I absolutely agree as well! I've passed this along to our internal team to think more about in future updates.

In the meantime, keep up the great work!

Besides bodybuilders there are also people who have health problems who need to gain weight. It would be nice to have this setting on mfp
