Chick fil a salad question

Hi guys,

Trying to see if anyone knows how many calories a spicy southwest chicken salad WITHOUT CHEESE AND TOPPINGS would be. I can’t find that option anywhere.

Probably best option would be to email them directly and ask them. Most companies are pretty good at providing that kind of information.

Chick-Fil-A's nutrition guide has separate entries for "Spicy Southwest Salad w/ Toppings" and "Spicy Southwest Salad". Since the calories for the latter are much lower, that may be what you want. You can download the guide as a PDF at this link:

Is that with or without the cheese? I have no idea. But the calorie level isn't crazy for the basic veggies plus cooked chicken, IMO.

Unless you eat the salad extremely frequently, like daily, that estimate is probably plenty close enough to use, IMO. (Saying that from the perspective of someone who's logged successfully through just under a year of loss, and around 8 years of maintenance since.)

Or look at one of the salads with toppings (even an online photo), estimate the amount of the calorie-dense toppings (such as the cheese), estimate the calories for that amount of the thing, and subtract those calories from your total.

Sometimes you can get clues from the nutrition facts. Look for telltale MICROnutrients that may only be found in certain ingredients. Example- calcium may be present mostly from the cheese. 1oz of cheddar has about 200mg of calcium.
I really go down the rabbit hole with food-math.

I remembered another thing- if you can find a separate MFP database listing for the dressing, you can log negative portions on the desktop version of MFP to remove them from a logged meal.
