Why are all my emoji files so large?

All of a sudden all my jpg emoji files are huge on my PC. I'm using windows 11.
These were never a problem a couple months ago. On my Android phone they look fine in the app. I'm wondering what MFP is trying to do? I like using my PC for my group posts and my phone for logging food.
