Posting in this part of the Community, you're only speaking with other MFP users who have no more insight or powers than you have yourself, I'm sorry to say.

There are areas of the Community where users can reach MFP staff to suggest new app features, but it sounds like you have some kind of technical issue.

Your best bet would be to use the Help function here, and start a chat there with MFP support. That's a little dialog bubble at lower right of the hep page in web browser MFP, or in the phone/tablet MFP app, go to the More menu, then Help (near the bottom of the list), then pick Contact Support.

Not gonna lie, they will ask you to try various things that may sound a little goofy to help figure out what's going on, but if you stick with it, read messages from them carefully, and keep responding, I'm pretty sure they will help you sort it out.

Another way to start the same process would be to email support@myfitnesspal.com.

I hope you're able to find a solution: This app has been very helpful to me in achieving my goals, but obviously that can only happen if you can get it to work.

Best wishes for success with that!

You need the paid, Premium version to share reports.

    Otherwise, two workarounds.

#1. Share your user name and password with your counselor. (Not optimum, of course).

#2. If you’re using the app at the request of your counselor, then, presumably they have (or can create) an MFP account of their own.

Change your food diary privacy setting to either “public” (anyone can view) or “friends only”. You and your counselor will need to friend each other and then they can view it, in real time.

My husband is also on MFP, and we share meals this way, and he’ll occasionally ask me to check his entries to see if he’s recording good entries (there’s a lot of really bad data in the food library, since it’s user-entered).

I’ve downloaded some of the premium reports, and imho, they are worse than useless in the format given. I can glean a LOT more information looking at the actual daily diary entries.

Also, a reminder- all food items are crowd sourced, so there’s a lot of inaccuracy. Be sure to compare the entry you choose against the actual food label.

Also, if you’re tracking a micronutrient in particular for medical reasons (sodium, potassium, iron etc) , many many entries don’t have them, because users entered only the “big three” : fat, carbs and proteins.

Beware fantasy entries, like JoJo’s Chocolate cake 40 calories / slice, or zuzu’s lasagna 100/serving.

There’s a lot of bogus or inaccurate entries out there.
