Welcome, @rosawatanabe2196!
Is it harder to lose weight as you get older? In some ways yes, as our metabolisms may slow down, our natural pattern of movement throughout the day gets replaced by a lot more sitting, we have to deal with aches and pains our younger selves never faced or simply shrugged off, and more.
On the plus side, with age comes wisdom, patience, and increased willpower. If we want to make it happen, we absolutely can, age be darned. MFP is chock full of senior citizens who dropped large amounts of weight, of middle agers who gained muscle and are stronger than ever. Some people let age be an excuse to not even try; I say be more like us, who ask only one question: are you alive? If the answer is yes, then we can improve ourselves. Let's get started!0
