Hi name is Larry. 70 years old ice whitey diabetic. After years of trying finally got approved for the new insulin drugs plus the new continuous action sensor. Down 30 lbs and glucose normalizing. So now I need to watch carbs and stuff seriously.

Hi @Sadroc welcome to MFP.
I’m afraid spellcheck gotcha, and your post looks like you’re a tough rapper dude. I felt like I oughta check Urban Dictionary, lol.
I think it’s supposed read that you’re a “type 2” diabetic?
My husband (69) joined me here about two years ago, and is also a type 2 diabetic. He lost enough weight that he’s able to come off Metformin if he wants, but we travel quite a bit and try new foods, so he is more comfortable staying on it to regulate.
I started here at 56 and lost a large amount of weight, am currently in maintenance. Not diabetic but tendency towards osteoporosis, which has improved with exercise- and which stood me in good stead when I wrecked my bike a few years ago. I feel like I would have shattered my hip if it were “old me” on the bike at the time.

30 pounds is no mean feat! Good for you!!!!2
