If you didn't sign up for premium MFP, it's free. Back when I signed up, I didn't even have to provide a credit card number, so I knew I wasn't paying. That was a long time ago, though, so I don't know if that's still true.
If you're here in the Community (reading this reply), you can look at your Community profile. It will say "premium" in the Roles area under Overview if you have premium.
To see your Community profile, you can just click on your own user name on your post up above. That will bring up your profile. Or, from any Community page, click on your avatar (circle in the upper right that would have your photo if you'd added one), then click on the slightly bigger avatar (circle) in the box that pops up. That should display your Community Profile.
I have premium now. My profile looks like this:
