I lost 97. I am currently in the 75-80 range lost.

Did I put on weight? Yes………if weight isall I care about.

But, at the same time I became way more active, and continue to add activity.

Muscle is denser than fat, and heavier. I’ve put on a considerable amount of muscle since reaching goal, hence the increase in weight.

I was a size 4 at the lowest weight. Guess what? I’m still a size 4 at the higher weight.

I know for me, I can get so immersed in the day-to-day of maintenance (gotta weight this, gotta weigh that, or I’ve failed) that I can fail to look at the bigger picture. “Gaining” 20 pounds worries the bejesus out of me if that’s all I focus on.

Did you begin an exercise regimen? Is your clothing size, waistband etc increasing, or holding steady? Do you have visible muscle now you didn’t have earlier? Have you noticed body change? Batwings reducing? “Thigh gap” appearing? Neck wattle firmed up? Defined shoulders and upper arms?

I’d take a moment to sit down and reanalyze everything. Review your exercise numbers and calorie logs for this month versus one, two or three years ago.

    How’s your bigger picture looking?

Hugs to ya. It’s not only a journey, sometimes it’s a fight to a finish that’s just always out of eyesight. 🙃

Thank you so much for the inspiration. I definitely have gained some weight back. I was a size 6 at my smallest but now I'm back to a size 8/10...so I'm definitely getting my mind set back into controlling my eating habits and definitely up my workout routine.

I have to keep counting calories in maintenance in order to stay my preferred size.
