What’s with getting rid of the newsfeed!?!?!

Stupidity plain and simple. Without friends support I wouldn’t use this app at all. Period.

It’s stupid and wrong, but they don’t care about the actual users. They want to make it more complicated to stay in touch with each other.Maybe they want to be rid of mfp all together and this is their way of doing it.I’ve emailed several of the Francisco partners and gotten nothing back but from “betty “.Basically stating they appreciate our passion for the newsfeed, but they don’t care.5

Same! Is it actually gone or malfunctioning?2

After days without it, I had a newsfeed for about two minutes this morning before it disappeared again. 🤔2

What about this "Activity Feed" that has an announcement over in the news section? I'm wondering if it'll serve the same purpose as the News Feed?
If it's a case of needing to replace the feature with something else because the newsfeed is notoriously unstable, I'd understand - provided I could use something else for the same thing.
Without a comfortable way to interact with my friends, MFP will be a lot less useful to me but I'm wondering if that's really the case? It would be nice if there were more solid information available. I already know a lot of people are leaving MFP because of the newsfeed going away, which would be avoided if the staff communicated more clearly about what is actually happening.2 -

The activity feed is a found on each person's forum profile, where you can also see how many posts they have etc.
One issue is that the privacy settings are basic: everyone can see you activity feed or no one.
Another issue is: you can't see all the updates of your friends together: you need to look up the individual profiles/activity feeds of each friend.3 -
Oh wow. I’ve been having trouble with when I click complete diary it doesn’t show up on my feed. I wonder if that is related to them phasing out the feed? This is the first I’ve heard about it but I’m not surprised….0
