Pick a food item and measure it out, then add it to your own recipe builder.

I've found some good traditional recipes on www.vahrehvah.com.
You can create a recipe on MyFitnessPal and paste the web page address of the chosen recipe.
You need to check the copied data, but it usually does a good job.

    Hi @TheegalaSamskruthi welcome to MFP!

You recording Indian foods should be no different than me recording barbecue and cornbread.

Simple weigh the individual ingredients, find them in MFP, and log them in to your diary.

If you are not responsible for cooking, either volunteer to help (your spouse would LOVE that!) or appeal to them to help you keep track of the foods they are cooking with.

If you are eating out, you’re going to have to try to break down the ingredients and log them as best you can. If it’s a large chain restaurant, some will post calories. If it’s a smaller restaurant, I’d pick find something similar from a large restaurant and pick the higher end of the range to log it.

For example Starbucks here tends to be very high calorie. If I’m having a cookie or a pastry at a small coffee shop, I’ll pick something similar from Starbucks menu on MFP, and log that. I’d rather estimate high than low.

    Hope this helps?
